Maintenance Dredging

Client: Pequot Yacht Club
Description: Maintenance dredging of entrance channel and morring field. Pequot Yacht Club’s facility had significantly silted in over the past 60 years creating severe limitations on vessel draft and size. The project involved dredging and disposing of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of marine sediments at the Central Long Island Sound Disposal Site.
Role: Triton provided overall management of project including hydrographic condition surveys, dredge quantity calculations, project estimating, preparation of sediment sampling plans, Tier II (bulk chemistry) and Tier III (biological) testing, preparation and submittal of regulatory permits to the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and local commissions. Triton also prepared contract specifications, bid documents, managed the bidding process, and provided oversight of dredging operations.
