Client: Tilcon Connecticut Inc.

Description: Technical and regulatory analysis to evaluate feasibilty of using recycled oil for combustion in asphalt plants.

Role: Analysis of Connecticut and federal regulations regarding acceptable uses of recycled oil without reclassifying the plant as a waste disposal facility. Research into use of recycled oil at asphalt plants in other states, and expected effect on air emissions of combusting recycled oil. Development of stack testing protocol to demonstrate no difference between the use of recycled oil and virgin No. 2 fuel oil.
